Current exhibition at the Botanic Garden of Smith College

“Botanical Printing” ~ Artful Collaborations on Paper and Cloth is an “extraordinary new exhibition” at the Church Exhibition Gallery, Lyman Plant House from October 20, 2012 through February 10, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM daily.

The Reception was Friday November 9, 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

Plants portrayed in 48 imprints are New England natives, non-natives, cultivated vegetables and exotics from the Smith College Botanical Garden. They range in size from miniscule to majestic.

I coax color, shapes and composition onto paper, bark cloth, chiffon and cotton gauze, and demonstrate how plants influence my design sensibilities, and the applied arts in general.

I led two workshops that left many on a waiting list. Thus, I offer to lead workshops of 3 1/2 hr length in Leverett and other venues. To reserve a space, please call 860 605 6705 or reply per email. the class fee of $ 60 covers all materials  and tool use, in a class of no more than four individuals.Plumpoppy 2
